Q: Toyota Camry?
I have a 1990 Toyota Camry and the power light stay's on does anyone know why & what to do about it ??
A: YOU SHOULD GET THE VEHICLES COMPUTER SCANNED AND CHECK FOR ANY PROBLEMS AS WELL AS CODES AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD IDEA ON WHAT THE PROBLEM TRULY IS.

Q: Toyota Camry Brake lights do not work, even after replacing the bulbs and fuce?
I have a 1989 Toyota Camry and my brake lights do not work. I checked the fuses ( all of them! under hood and inside driver panel) also replaced all the bulbs with new. I still have no brake lights and the dash light indicator continuously shows a little car with the back light problem. What can I do? I would like to know if there is a stop switch attached to the brake pedal and if so how do I check it and/or replace if it is bad. Can I get a diagram and directions on this part...I think it is called an actuator switch? Also, if anyone has any other useful information as to what may be the culprit please let me know. Possible a relay or a link?
A: Replacing the switch is simple. Just a REAL pain in the @$$ to get to.
ADDED:
Check the relays under the hood in the power distribution box.
You may be able to swap it out with the rear window defogger relay.
Q: Wha'ts the difference between the Toyota Camry and the Camry Hybrid?
What's the difference between a regular Toyota Camry and the Toyota Camry Hybrid? Which is the better buy?
A: Haha, I think I answered your question about the Corolla and Camry! :)
-First off, when people think of Hybrib, MPG is the only thing on their mind. Not power, just the money to fill up a tank.
-This might be helpful: Here are the models of the Camry. LE, SE, XLE, and Hybrid. The are listed from lowest price to highest price.
-But anyways, the "REGULAR" 2008 Camry gets 21 MPG in the city and 31 on the highway. Those ratings go for the LE, SE, and XLE models.
-The next model is the 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid, which achieves 33 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on highways.
--Here's some more info.
-The LE has a 2.4 L, 158 Horsepower engine with either 5 speed manual or 5 speed automatic transmission.
-The SE also has a 2.4 L, 158 Horsepower engine with either 5 speed manual or 5 speed automatic transmission.
-The XLE has a 3.5L V6, 24 valve, 268 horsepower engine with a 6 speed automatic transmission. This is the most loaded and power model.
-The HYBRID has a 2.4-liter, 147 horsepower engine along with an electric motor that creates combined output totaling 187 horsepower.
Q: How do I increase gas mileage of my Toyota Camry?
I Bought a used 2001 Toyota Camry under the impression that it gives good gas mileage (about 24 mpg in city and 28 mpg on highways). However, I'm shocked to note that my camry gives about 17mpg in city. Does anyone know the cause and / or how to get this fixed.
A: Make sure the tires are inflated to the factory specs and make sure that the air filter is clean, spark plugs aren't fouled..basically just get a tune up. That's usually all you need.
Q: 1998 toyota camry and whenever I make a right turn there's a dash light that comeson during the turnwhat is it
its 1998 toyota camry and when ever I make a right turn there is a red dash light that comes on only when I turn right. What is this warning light???? The warning light is at the bottom right side of my dash below the RPM gauge.
A: Turn the ignition on with the engine off and see which light you think it is all the lights should light up for a couple seconds . Sound like your brake fluid could be a hair low and the float sensor kicks the light on for a second add a little dot 3 brake fluid .
Q: What is the 1992 toyota camry wheel specs?
I have stock steel wheels from a 1992 toyota camry LE. They are 14inch, and currently have Size 195/70 R14 91T tires on them. I know they can fit nissans, but what else? I want to be able to tell people the spacing, and what not. Please help!
A: Unfortunately, a dealership really has no need for those type of specs. We look at the VIN of the car, look up the wheel and get the part #. We just don't worry about the specs. BUT! Here they are:
Torque spec 76 ft/lbs
Wheel size 14x5.5 JJ
Bolt circle 114.3 mm
Offset 45 mm
5 lugs (but then you knew that!)
pilot diameter : 60 mm
Hope this helps.
Q: How to change interior light in 96 toyota camry?
Interior light in my toyota camry is not working.
Is it easy to replace the bulb? How to do it?
A: You remove the lense and take the old bulb out and put a new one in.
Q: In a toyota camry hybrid, when does the electric motor turns on? Can it happen at speeds higher than 30mph?
Can the toyota camry run on electric mode if I'm on a highway?
A: I'll note that I'm basing my answer on a Toyota Prius, which uses the same THS as the hybrid Camry...
Because of how the "transmission" is set up, for speeds over 42mph the gasoline engine must be turning. That doesn't necessarily mean that it is burning fuel, though. You could be going downhill at 60mph, and neither the gasoline engine nor the electric motor will be propelling you, for example. The gasoline engine is kept at the most efficient RPM for your power demands, and any extra acceleration or power will come from the electric motor as needed. The gasoline engine will be kicked up in RPM if more power is required for a longer time period, and if it is producing too much power for your traveling demands, that excess power goes back into the battery for later use.
So basically, for what most people will see for highway speeds and terrain (interstates/freeways), yes your gasoline engine will be on, but it will be operating much more efficiently than if it didn't have the electric to assist it at speed.
Since much of my highway driving has been local state highways with speed limits of about 35mph, I can get in some good stretches with just the electric motor. :)
Q: How to get rid of a Toyota Camry (1989) when auto-transmission just died. Business to take it away for cash?
I have a Toyota Camry 1989 that starts first time everytime, but the automatic transmission has died while on holidays. It is in good condition except for the auto transmission. Do I fix the transmission and sell it, or is there a business that will take it away and pay a bit of cash? What businesses are there? I've bought a new car.
I live in MacGregor (Brisbane) Australia
A: The nearest auto junkyard will probably pay a little for it.
Q: How do we uninstall the factory stereo in 2008 toyota camry and replace with aftermarket DVD player?
We just bought an aftermarket DVD player for our 2008 toyota camry. It came with all the wiring and a good diagram of how to connect everything. The only problem is we are not sure how to get the old stereo out and put this one in. Anyone know how to remove and reinstall or have a good website with information on how to do this?
A: the ac panel actually just pops out you will need a panel tool or a smaller flat head screwdriver to pop that panel out and then there are 4 10 mil bolts back there holding in the radio and then the radio pulls out
Q: My Toyota Camry car consumes excess fuel especially at initial start up and does not smoke?
The fuel guage falls faster within the first 30 mins or there about until the engine Temperature rises. Car make is Toyota Camry 1992 Model
A: It is normal for cars to consume more fuel on initial startup on cold days. One thing to remember is that an engine always runs most efficiently when it is warmed to operating temperature. Now, there is not a lot of information in the question, but what I would do to achieve optimun gas mileage is insuure that the tires have the proper air pressure, a good tune-up including the air and fuel filters and have as less weight as possible. proper tire pressure alone will give you a noticeable difference in fuel economy.
Q: Where can i find a copy of toyota 2004 camry user manual?
I bought a used toyota camry 2004 that did not come with a user manual. Is it available online?
And what is the difference between a user manual and a service manual?
A: The dealership has them!!! Just go and ask them and they will order it for you!!!
Q: Why do more people buy the toyota camry than the honda accord ?
When i research cars online, I get a lot of reviews about how the honda accord is a better overall car than the toyota camry. Why does the camry have more models sold than the accord in 2008? I'm not trying to say that one car is better.
A: People buy the Toyota because they prefer either the styling, price, availability, or packaging over the Accord. It's true that one may not be any better than the other. Also, keep in mind that many people are repeat buyers. If they bought a Toyota Camry back in the 1990s or early 2000s and loved it, then logically, they'll buy it again. Why do you think people buy more of the Ford F-Series and Chevrolet Silverado than the Accord and Camry?
Don't believe what anybody says about reliability either, since the Buick Regal, Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, and Subaru Legacy all beat out the Accord and Camry in reliability in recent years.
I hope this has answered your question. If you have any more, please feel free to ask.
Q: What is the average life span of a toyota camry?
I own a 94 Toyota Camry. It was just given to me last year, w/ only 60k miles. It just broke down due to a human error (it had no coolant and the engine fried)
Is it worth replacing the engine I wonder
A: Certainly!!! Toyota's reputation is known for its longevity and dependability. You can fix the engine fairly easily. I am assuming that this is a 4 Cyl engine. You can learn a lot by doing this yourself. You will need to remove your cylinder head, have it cleaned and milled (machine shop $50-75) and install a new head gasket. Be sure to use only genuine Toyota parts. Also, be sure to use Toyota coolant, as its special formulation should maintain your new gasket, aluminum and plastic parts in your cooling system, and protect your water pump better than the "green" stuff. You should replace your timing belt at this time as well. Get a Haynes or Bentley manual and follow directions. A well kept Toyota engine will last for several hundred thousand miles with proper maintenance.. If the idea of fixing this yourself is too beleaguering, you can find a perfectly good used one at car-parts.com. Remember to flush your cooling system, either way, and stick to a good quality synthetic oil when repairs are done. Talk to you again at 260,000 miles!!! Good Luck!!
