Q: what is the little black tabs are on a nissan pulsar window frame? 2002 model?
On my Nissan Pulsar window frame there is a little black tab that seems to have no use - any idea what it is for?
A: Those black guides help the glass up into the window channel. Slowly raise the glass just short of the guide and wiggle the glass pane in and out of the frame it is this looseness that can get the glass on the outside of the channel. Hope this helps...
Q: does a 1987 nissan pulsar have a tensioner on the alternator?
i have a 1987 nissan pulsar and the alternator stopped working i was driving to school and it started acting funny like losing power. the alternator belt is not broke, but it is super loose. is it just old and stretched or is the some kind of tentioner that it might have broken off of?
A: Could be both. The best thing to do is to take the belt to an auto parts store to compare with a new one. If while comparing the old one looks worn, cracked, or stretched in any way, purchase the new one. And while there you can ask about the tensioner.

Q: How can I get my 86 Nissan Pulsar to pass smog - See Details?
I just got a 86 Nissan Pulsar for free. He told me that the car had failed smog and was advised that it was either the carburator or the catalytic convertor. After which he had stopped driving the car. The car was parked for nearly 2 years and when I went to get it. I found out that it had a bad battery. I replaced the battery and the car just started up with 2 tries. After which the car starts up all the time on the first try. The engine is not noisy either. It seems to be in a very good mechanical condition. It has a manual transmission and it drives really nice. I have it under Plan Non Op with the California DMV. I want to start driving the Car and I wanted to know that since I do not know exactly what the fault might be now since it had been standing for nearly 2 years should I change the spark plugs, distributer cap, plug wires, air filter, oil and oil filter, fuel filter and then get it smogged. Will it help? I got the car for free so I don't want to spend much on it.
A: Advance Auto Parts has some stuff that guarantees that if you put this in your gas tank it will pass or they will pay for the inspection it may be worth a try. The only catch is you have to go to the store to buy it. Its about 7 bucks.
Q: Is it possible to put a turbo in a nissan pulsar?
i have a nissan pulsar iq and just was wandering if im able to put a turbo kit in
A: It technically possible to put a turbo on any car regardless of the motor or company. It just might not be pratical or easy to do.
Yes you can put a turbo kit onto your pulsar as long as you get all the essential parts. An important step though is to build your bottom end as to not damage your engine with the increased hp the turbo will give you. This has to be done before you install a turbo kit. This may include but not limited to all the internals. You will also have to remap your ECU (the car's computer) in order for it to recognize the new system. A turbo timer guage would be helpful to have also.
FYI: 91-94 Pulsar GTI-R had a stock turbo. Sr20det motor.
I recommend you join a car forum before you do anything and talk with other ppl that have done this swap/engine install. check the link for 1 i belong to below.
Q: nissan pulsar?
where can I find one? a 91-94. I cant find on ebaymotors or autotrader... hmmm where else? Ive looked some more
A: The pulsar 2.0 was the best they had back in 1994 was the last year too. Most of those small cars were driven hard by young people who grew out of them after school and as familys grew. A good alternative would be the new Nissan Versa at a starting price of $12,000 up to $17,000 full warranty lots of features. Very good saftey rating you just won't get in a 13 year old car.
Q: Prgram Nissan Pulsar keyless entry remote?
I have 1999 Nissan Pulsar and have just bought a new remote, but would rather avoid paying $70 to have it programmed. From what I have read its fairly easy, you just need to work out the combination of things to do to get the car into the programming mode. Does anyone know what that is for a 1999 Nissan Pulsar?
A: REPROGRAM KEY FOB
QX4, 1997-2004 Q45, I30, I35,1999-2002 G20, FX, G35, M45, Most Nissan Vehicles
The horn chirp can be disable by pressing the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously until the hazard lights flash, and no enable press the lock and unlock until the horn chirp.
To reprogram (enter new ID) key fob (keyless remote controller) follow the steps.
1. Close all doors and lock all doors
2. Insert and remove the key from the ignition key cylinder more than six times within 10 seconds.
(The hazard warning lamp will then flash.)
NOTE:
Key should be withdrawn from ignition key cylinder completely each time.
NOTE:
Do not rush the insertion/removal key cycling process. The side
marker/tail/license lamps and interior illumination will flash twice when this step is accurately completed.
3. Insert key on ignition key cylinder and turn ignition key switch to "AAC" position
At this time, the new ID code is entered and original (previous) ID codes are erased.
4. Press any button on the new remote controller once. (The hazard warning lamp will then flash)
NOTE:
Do not press the button more than one time in the above step. If the button is pressed more than one time, the programming procedure will not be successful. The side marker/tail/license lamps and interior illumination will flash twice when this
step is accurately completed and programming is successful.
If there is only one remote controller skip step 5.
5. Additional ID code entry
Release the door lock, then lock again with door lock/unlock switch (In power window main switch)
6. Remove key from ignition
7. Unlock driver side door, open driver side door and then close the door. (END)
NOTE:
If you need to activate more than two additional new remote controllers, repeat the procedure on step 5 "Additional ID code entry" for each new remote controller.
NOTE:
Entry of maximum four ID codes is allowed and any attempt to enter more will be ignored.
Q: Nissan Pulsar 1990 N13 small electrical problem Please Help?
Hi I have A Nissan Pulsar 1990 N13. I was putting in a new stereo But forgot to disconect the battrie. Stereo Ok but the red weire that was live is not live anymore, All fuses are ok, Fusabale links under the bonnet ok. This has also stoped the number plate light, boot light and interia light from working. As I sed all fuses are working ok , everything else works ok like head lights instrument lights every thing, but what I have menchend. Any advice will be welcomed. The yellow wier fron the stereo is the battrie wire that is conected this red wier. Thank you for your time
A: It seems what you report can't be true. If you go to the fuse that feeds the number plate light, boot light and interior lights, I'm sure you'll find that there's battery voltage to ground on one side of it, but not the other. Replace that fuse and recheck to verify you have battery voltage to ground on both sides of the fuse. If the fuse blows out when you replace it, you have a short circuit somewhere you probably created when you were doing your wiring. You could prove it's in your wiring, by temporarily disconnecting all your connections and replacing the fuse again to verify that your lights are working again. You can easily check a fuse to see if it's good using a $15 Volt Ohm Meter (VOM) you can buy at the auto store or home center. It will also easily check for battery voltage on both sides of the fuse as described above.
Q: Why My nissan pulsar 2005 headlights keeps ON while driving with the light operating Lever is at OFF position?
To come out of this problem i left the lever in middle position for keeping small headlights on instead of main headlights in daylight, i forgot to turn it off which resulted flat battery after a couple of hours.
A: they have daytime running lights. it's safe for you to drive with them on that way. they will always be on unless you disconnect the wiring for it. not recommended
Q: How big is the gas tank on a 1988 Nissan Pulsar NX SE and what is the mpg city and highway?
I drove it very close to empty one time and got about 9.2 gallons in on the fill up. And another time when I topped it off to see how full I could get it, I subsequently got about 315 miles to that entire tank of gas (98% of the driving was highway traveling fyi).
A: there are so many factors to getting good gas milage on ur car.tire pressure how u leave the light how heavy ur foot is on the pedal jackrabbit starts from one light to another if your car is in perfect tune new air cleaner and what the window sticker says is a lie anyway so drive with some sense and u will get the best u can drive like a fool and ur milage will go way down good luck.
