Q: What kind of belt does a Nissan Altima have?
I have a 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5S model. My mechanic told me my serpentine belt was cracked and needed to be replaced asap. I also took my car to a Nissan dealership and they said Altimas don't have serpentine belts. They said the driving belt needed to be replaced. Does anyone know what kind of belt an Altima has and how hard is it to be installed. I was quoted $100 including labor at a local shop and $189 at Nissan. Thanks.
A: yes it has a serpentine belt .that is your driving. it may also have a v-belt for your power steering .it has a tension release that is very easy to change but its not that expensive .100.00 is not bad deal 4 parts n labor. its according to your funds. the serpentine belt is wide like an inch or two depends

A: yes you can, and depending how demaning you are and what you want to spend. You can do the inline converter by splicing into the speaker wires to run a RCA Signal to, or if you want the best from the factory head unit, i would suggest a JL Cleansweep. There are pricy but allow for all aftermarket hookups including MP3 players without having to put in aftermarket radio, and produce a flat signal for RCA outputs to run subs.

A: AN AUX CABLE THAT HAS A 3.5MM HEADPHONE JACK ON EACH SIDE.
ONE SIDE CONNECTS TO YOUR AUX INPUT IN YOUR CAR (THAT IS IF YOUR CAR IS EQUIPPED WITH THIS FEATURE) AND THE OTHER SIDE CONNECTS TO YOUR HEADPHONE INPUT ON YOUR IPOD, IF THIS FAILS GO WITH THE IPOD FM TRANSMITTER!!

A: Can't say exactly, but it will be high. The good part about it though is that Nissan Altimas tend to last a long time and have a higher resale value than most cars. It may be worth paying the extra in interest to build your credit up, but that means you have to make EVERY payment ON TIME. Find out if you can afford this before getting the loan. Car loans tend to be 3-5 years. THREE TO FIVE YEARS!!! A lot can happen in that amount of time. Be careful, read everything that they want you to sign before you sign it and make sure what they're telling you is actually on the contract. Another good thing is that 2 years or so into making every payment on time, you should be able to refinance your car loan at a cheaper interest rate, because your credit will be better, making your car payments cheaper. Factor in the cost of full coverage insurance too when you're figuring out if you can afford it. Good luck. Hope it works out for you.

Q: How do you turn off the check engine light on a '02 nissan altima?
I have a '02 Nissan Altima with the check engine light stuck on and have already pulled the code out for low emissions leak. I just need to reset the thing without having to pay someone else an arm and a leg, and a couple of kids to have them take 5 minutes and viola. I know there's got to be an easy way to fix this. Please help!
A: You can turn the check engine light off with an OBD2 code reader that has a code erase button on it, but the light will come back on unless the cause of the problem is repaired.

A: The 3.5 Altima in your body style is good for about 140 to 145mph. Try going on to youtube. I remember seeing a guy doing 143 in is 02 3.5 By the way welcome to the club, I own a super black SE R.

A: I hate you if you have an SE-R.
Anyways, I have a 2005 altima and I'm pretty sure its the same. You know where your A/C control knobs are. Put your hand under it and then pull. That big plastic part should come off and you should see your A/C controls naked. You'll see (4) screws, unscrew them then the top should come off( the hole where a navigation would go.)
And wuala, easily unplug all the wires and other stuff connecting your factory radio and thats it.
Remember mines a 2005 but Im almost 100% that its the same dash panel.

I have a Newer Nissan Altima and I want to get chrome rims for it but don't know what size to get?
A: its stock with 16's so if you want to matain the ride comfortability, then i wouldnt get any bigger than a 18'
the suspension was not designed to handel any bigger than that. but if you looking to pimp it your ride then , up-grade your suspension "cut the wheel wells and bag" it with some 20's. but your best bet it to get 17's my opinion.
