A: Queston is will inflation kill new car buying? Will 450 a gallon gasoline cause people to drive 1.5 liter diesel put puts. I was amazed that a bicycle I wanted made in Singapore now costs $500 more. The USA dollar is going into the dumper. Buy what you want now because it will take lots more dollars soon. I think Nissan Product line world wide is what it is going to be for a while until USA dollar settles out.

I have Nissan Altima 2003 with 35,000 miles on it, Still under warranty.I followed the mantienance schedule carefully This car is running the third engine that was put by the authorized Nissan Shop plus the car had many other problems that were covered by the warranty. I had real bad time with this car. It keeps giving troubles, they just keep fixing until the warranty expires. Then what? I am still paying the car, a car thats not dependable. It may be the authorized service center fault but I still keep having troubles. Need someone from Nissan to help me, I want this car to be exchanged for another. PS I live in Puerto Rico US
A: You're going to have to continue to deal wtih the dealership, they have "exclusive" priveleges to deal with warranty issues.
This is exactly why Toyota is #1 and Honda is #2 among Japanese car makers. I owned a Datsun 210 and drove it for 264,262 miles, but by the time I got done with it I swore I'd never own another Nissen auto because of the dealers and their service.

I'm trying to find replacement body parts to repair a damaged hood on my Nissan Pathfinder. I've found someone who says they have a new genuine Nissan hood, but I don't know how to verify its authenticity.
A: if its authentic it will have the matching vin number on the panel weather its the hood door bumper or trunk..... if it has been replaced and by an aftermarket dealer than you will see a sticker that sayd R-DOT ot just DOT..... meaning replaced-department of transportation... just means its a product that has been replaced and aprroved by the dept of transportation...

So I've been calling dealers everywhere for a 5 or 6 speed 2005 nissan maxima and it's really hard to find. I've been wondering, does anybody know how many were made that year? I plan on just keeping on calling until I find one, but it would be nice to know how reasonable it is to look for one of these.

Q: My 1994 nissan gxe water coolant container is boiling, what is it ?
I have a 1994 Nissan Altima GXE. I noticed the water coolant container next to the radiator started boiling and evaporating the water inside, but my car is not overheating or being affected by this problem. How do I fix this, and what could it be? Please help!
A: The overflow tank in most coolant systems traps excess coolant and allows for too much pressure in the system to safely escape. It sounds as if your coolant overflow tank is doing its job and I would not be worried. Be sure to check the antifreeze level when the car has cooled down to make sure that you aren't losing any coolant. You might also want to check the coolant protection level (measured in degrees) with a Prestone antifreeze tester. It's available at most autoparts stores and looks like a turkey baster. It will tell you if you should change your antifreeze. Too much water in the system can lead to frequent boil overs in the coolant overflow tank. Good Luck

The V6 engine on the Jeep Grand Cherokee is 210 horsepower, while the V6 on the Nissan Pathfinder is 266 HP. The Jeep get 15/20 mileage and the Nissan gets 14/20, not that different. How does Nissan make a more powerful, almost just as efficient same size engine as Jeep?
A: their technology in engine development is was far advanced than ours is,and they have the means to do it with,they will spend way more money on research than we will also,American car company's wont spend the money to do the research to help make better engines,Nissan will that's why right now their one of the best deals going on a new car ,their technology is way ahead of ours,good luck.

A: Consider this........More people own cars in the USA than in any other nation. It's Very rare to see a Renault here. If they were competitive with Nissan or Toyota or Honda there would be millions of them here. They are NOT here. Therefore they would seem to be a poor choice.
Q: How do the tire pressure sensors work on a nissan titan. Can I change to aftermarket rims easily?
I want to upgrade to an aftermarket rim for my nissan titan. I am confused how this will affect my tire pressure sensors. My dealer said not an issue if I stay with a similar rim but offered no other details. Is the sensor located in or on the factory rim, if so, can it be transfered easily to a new rim? I do not want a constant idiot light showing on my dash.
A: Most sensors are part of the valve stem. If you can transfer them to the new wheels you should be ok.
Q: This is the second time my nissan march dumps all the engine oil while running?
The first time at the nissan dealership they told me that it was because the filter wasn't the right one this happened about 3 month after the first month inspection, we are talking about a brand new car, the second time just happened yesterday about four month from the first incident. I heven't taken the car to the nissan dealership.

A: the oil filter has a little rubber ring on it that seals it to the engine housing. It must be coated with oil before it makes contact with the metal, given a 1/4 turn past hand tight and it should stay sealed. If it doesn't and yur car is that new, make the dealer take it back and give yu a new one or replace the engine at least. this should not be a problem if the oil change is done properly
