Q: How do I fix a right turn indicator that activates hazards on a 07 Mazda 6?
Sometime this morning I noticed that when I activate the right turn indicator it now causes the hazard lights to flash instead. Something I did wrong to cause this? What do I need to do? All 4 lights blink when I activate the hazard, through the hazard switch or the right turn indicator. Body is a 2007 Mazda 6.
A: hmm possibly sounds like a shorted multifunction switch, this usually controls hazard lights and your turn signals, wipers and sometimes many other things. I would suspect this. You can also test this and see if it is shorted by checking out a wiring schematic, or if you have an identical switch, another idea would be to take and complete the circuit that the switch is supposed to complete in the right turn and if the right turn lights blink as they should, then it is a problem in the switch, if not then you have a wiring issue. also you will want to disable the air bag system most likely before you begin working on this just to be safe
Q: Is the 2003 Mazda 6 s good in the snow?
I am looking at buying a 2003 mazda 6 s, but i am moving to North Dakota snow country and am worried about how they handle. I have heard front wheel drive cars are actually pretty good in snow with snow tires, but i am still not sure if thats right. Anyone have experience with them in large amounts of snow? Also, can anyone test to their reliability like high mileage or how many years they last and any major repairs needed? Thanks!
A: I have a 2003 Mazda 6s. 5 speed. Traction control. I live in Erie, Pa. I get 140inches of snow a year on the lake. I put snow tires on my car and in 7 years have not gotten stuck once knock on wood. EXCELLENT car in the snow if you drive correctly. Can't go wrong. front wheel drives are the next best thing if you don't have 4wd. good luck!
Q: For my first car should I buy an Acura TL with like 100k on it or should I go with a Mazda 6 with like 60k?
The Acura TL i heard last very long but the Mazda 6 i heard does not last very long and I heard they are not good to get used? Basically I need a choice betweeen 2000 Acura 3.2TL with 100k miles, 2003 Mazda 6 with 70k miles, 2002 Jetta with 80k miles?
A: Well I say the Acura just cuz I used to have one and loved it to death. I had the same exact year and model but it was a type S~! Well good luck~!
Q: Can I drive a Mazda 6 04' or Ford Ranger 02' in the snow to go snowboarding?
I have a Mazda 6 04' and a Ford Ranger 02' and I wanted to go snowboarding. Has anyone driven either of these cars through the mountain pass to go snowboarding? I want to know how the cars perform in the snow.
I can probably get some chains on the cars. Will that make it pretty much safe to drive in the snow?
Neither car has 4 wheel drive.
A: If the ranger is only a 2-wheel drive then they're horrible in the snow. You're going to want to pile as much weight in the back so you could try and get traction to your drive wheels. The Mazda is a front wheel drive which means that it has the engine weight on the drive tires and will be easier to control. Depending on how deep the snow is, that would be my choice. Chains could help a bit as they dig in a bit more than rubber, but if you're going on plowed roads they aren't going to help much.
If there's ice, nothing short of salt, sand or kittylitter will get you traction.
Good luck!
Q: What is the song on the new Mazda 6 advert?
its the advert where the car is a fish and it morphs into the car and then the car gets carried along by a shoal of fish. at the end it has 'mazda 6. go your own way' scroll up on the screen. the song has a guitar playing a solo wtih loads of delay in it and a really cool drum beat. it sounds a bit like the band air traffic. anyone know what it is?? please!!??
A: i think it must have been written especially for the advert. i tried using shazam to recognise it but it came back unknown.
Q: What is your favourite colour for Mazda 6?
What is your favourite colour for Mazda 6?
(I like both blue and silver, but thought that silver might be better for resale. Would you be prepared to pay a few hundred pounds for the colour you like?)
A: My favorite colors in the Mazda 6 are Blue Pacific, Copper Red, Silver Contrail and Sparkling Black.
I also like Phantom Blue and Titanium Gray.
From my experience color has little effect on a car's resale value, unless it is a particularly ugly color or a rare popular color.
Q: Tire Pressure light on my Mazda 6 came on. How do I reset it?
I have a 2008 Mazda 6. I "tire pressure" light turned on. My tire pressure is perfectily normal. I had a flat tire, and it started doing it afterwards.
I want to try to repair it. Can someone explain how exactly the tire pressure system works? (where the sensor is, how it gets the signal, etc.) Thank you!
A: The tire pressure sensor is on the inside of the rim just behind the valve stem. To get at it you need to remove the tire. My guess is you damaged the sensor when you had the flat. The sensor has to be replaced, the new sensor has a numerical code which has to be programmed in through the OBDII port for the cars ECU to recognize it.
Q: Is it true that fo the Mazda 6 you must change your oil a mazda service center, or can you change it anywhere?
is true for the Mazda 6 that you have to get your oil changes at a Mazda service center or can you go anywhere, i.e. Jiffy Lube?
A: Yes, I have a mazda 6 that I routinely get the oil changed at a jiffy lube or other local oil change places.
Despite what other answerers have said, jiffy lube keeps your records of service forever. I needed to get copies of those records for a previous vehicle I had and they provided them. They even track service you got at any jiffy lube in the US.
Q: How durable is mazda 6 s? and with what milage will it have problems?
its 2006 mazda 6 V6 engine with 45k miles on it, no signs of accidents it drives really smooth and good handling
A: I'd say you'd get a lot of driving out of that 6. Today I just bought a 2004 6 i, 4 cylinder with 86,000 miles on it and it drives wonderfully. It'll be a good car. Have FUN!!
Q: Which car is better a Mazda 6 or a Pontiac Grand Prix?
This Mazda 6 has a 4 cylinder, and is a 2009, but the grand prix has a 6 cylinder and is obviously faster. How fast could i tune the Mazda 6, and how much would it cost me?
It is a 2008 grand prix
A: The Mazda 6.
The Pontiac might not be faster. It is bigger and much heavier after all.
The Mazda 6 is the best handling and most fun car to drive in its class.
Around a race track, the Mazda 6 would win.
Very reliable and good on gas too.
A Cold Air or Short Ram Intake would give the car around 10HP more to 170HP and an exhaust system would give it another 10HP so it would be 180HP.
A turbo kit would add at least 100HP, but costs $3000-6000
Q: Best way to fix a Mazda 6 bumper crack?
Gotta love winter. I slid into a snowbank - cracked the bumper - where the fog lights would be if I had em - on my 2008 Mazda 6, and I was wondering what my best bet is to fix it? Don't suppose there is any chance I could make it a warranty issue eh?
Is there a particular repair kit or specific material repair kit I should look for?
Thanks.
A: Dynatron Flexible Bumper Repair Kit.
It is sold at several parts stores or auto body supply stores. It is a two part flexible goo and also has a small sheet of screen mesh for support.
If you can work the rear side of the crack, you may be able to make an almost invisible repair. This material can be sanded when cured, and painted as well. There are other type repairs, but I like the Dynatron.
Q: can anyone attest to the reliability of the mazda 6 wagon or mazdas in general?
i am a toyota girl myself however i am planning on getting the whole family car deal this summer. i really like the look of the mazda 6 sport wagon. i have read good things about the look and driveability of the car however i have heard conflicting reviews about the reliability and quality of the car itself. i also do not know much about mazdas reliability and quality of workmanship in general. does anyone have a mazda or know about mazdas, particularly this model if possible. can you tell me if you've had problems with it breaking down, needing work, etc.? thanks!
A: When you ask a Q like this, you will get a handful of answerers & opinions of experiences.
I will post the most recent results of a study by J.D.Powers & Associates.
This is an ongoing study & is published anually.
They collect data on THOUSANDS of vehicles.
The study is of vehicles on the road for 3 years.
The data recorded is based on how many times the vehicles are in the repair shop over the 1st 3 years on the road. (not related to maintenance, ie oil change, tire rotation etc)
This will determine the "reliability" factor of any manufacturer.
Im gonna Copy&Paste a previous answer for you:
