Q: If I am thinking about getting a Lexus LS 460 of 2006 yr then what other cars should I consider for near $40K?
Deciding to buy tomorrow.

A: There is your typical large sedans, The BMW 7-Series, The Mercedes S-Class, The Audi A8. There is also The Infiniti M35, which was chosen as the Consumer Reports best buy over the LS 460. That being said having driven both of the Infiniti and the Lexus, the Lexus is an incredible drive.

Q: What do you think about the Lexus LS 460, which comes with the worlds first 8 speed automatic transmission?


A: For the money, why not get the real deal- a S class MB or a 7 series BMW instead of a wanna be with bland styling and handling like a Camry. Oh, and if you need a car to park for you, you probably should hand in you license!

Q: What does the 'S' in a car model name mean like the lexus LS 460?
does the 's' mean sports or sedan?

A: It stands for "Luxury Sedan" I think it just means 'Spensive'

Q: How much can I squeeze a Lexus dealer for a LS 460?
I am looking to buy immediately and i have received quotes already ($62588 lowest so far). How low can we go? (this is including the lower premium package upgrade option) for 2009 LS 460..

A: I have used the below technique for many years when buying cars/trucks. Step 1 Find the MSRP of the car/truck new or used for that model, year and options. Step 2 Multiply that MSRP by 70% this would be the Wholesale price . Step 3 Multiply this number by 112.5 % and this will add back on 12.5% overhead and profit for the dealer. Step 4 If your buying a used car/truck take the mileage and multiply this by .35 to .40 cents per mile based on the condition of the car/truck and subtract from the above math. Step 5 Go into the dealer to test drive your possible future car and when you get back to the dealership start your offer with the math above. Step 6 Dont show any emotion towards buying the car/truck. Simply write your number (from the math above) on a business card or scratch paper along with your phone number and tell the salesman that if they want to sell the car/truck contact you. Dont haggle, get in a huff or show any other emotion. Simply state to contact you if they are interested in selling the car for "your" price. I am telling you this works on all cars and trucks new or used./ been using it for over 20 years. I just priced a new truck and they are giving quotes right next to the numbers calculated above. This tells me that you can even do better than the math above right now in this crappy car market. maybe add back 4% vs 12.5% and start there Remember: Take the emotion out of truck and car buying, use the math above and you will always "Always" get the best deals and it will be a rewarding experience to boot. Q: I heard that the new Lexus LS 460 can park itself without much control from the driver. HOW DOES A CAR DO THAT
Can you explain to me how that works?

A: In order to do a parallel park, you would have to position the LS next to a parked car. Then, put the LS in reverse and turn on the Park Guidance System. Set it to parallel park (the LS also can do a 90 degree park) and let go of the wheel. The LS uses a series of sensors that measure the distance between you and the parked car, and how far away you are from the parking stall. The sensors then send that information to a computer that will calculate that information and will control the steering wheel. The only driver input required is the use of the brake pedal to control the speed and stop the car. In my personal opinion, this is a safer way to park because human error is greater than computer error. Q: Have you purchased Lexus LS 460 lately?
How much off the sticker where you able to negotiate? I am on the market for a new LS now, and trying to figure out what is a good deal. Funny, I was offered discounts in the neighborhood of 1000-3000 dollars. As a matter a fact I can afford the car, I simply don't want to pay more than I have to.

Should I buy the new LS? I like the new look.

A: Yeah, me like it too, me like ALOT..... Yeah, buy it, please buy it. Sexier that BMW 7, Audi A8, JAG, MB Sclass, perhaps only the Maserati Quatroporte looks better... but the Mazer costs like 120large. Actually that Benz would be tough to turn down, but if i had ythat $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ here, i'd splash it on the Lexus get er done

Q: Mercedes E350 or Lexus LS 460?
Which would you rather own, why? I will report anyone that names another vehicle!

A: I am a proud owner of a 2008 Mercedes E350 and I can tell you, you won't be disappointed. Although I'm not a big fan of its headlights, I couldn't resist getting all these extra perks the dealership gave me. The LS is an outstanding car, but only if you want to shed the extra cash. I own a 2001 GS300 and I love Lexus, but MB brings it on to another level. Hope this helps.

A: it's a very nice car. Lexus makes very nice cars... I wish i drove one of those... but my parents do... so i get to drive sometimes if i take a girl to someplace or something like that...you know.

A: The Lincoln is an awesome car. Personally, it looks like it has a newer design and is more classy. The Lexus looks longer because of the longer doors and longer trunk, so that kind of deters me from the car considering you said that it has less room. Go with the Lincoln for sure. Get SYNC with it too, that's a really cool system.

A: If you have the money, of course you with the LS460. If you want to save some money, get the ES350. they are both nice cars, but if you are wondering if the LS is worth the extra money, I say yes. The LS is the beset engineered car out there and all the parts of an LS are unique, not shared with any other car in the Toyota/Lexus lineup.

the new hybrid lexus LS 600 will be over 100k. the only difference between LS 460 and 600 is that 600 is hybrid. other than that, there is no difference at all except the headlights. exterior/interior is exactly the same. personally with 100k i would get mercedes S class, or CLS 63 AMG or BMW 7 series or either M5 or M6. i would like to know what other people has to say...

A: Lexus is the number one luxury automaker company in the world; out beating Maybach, Rolls Royce, Mercedes Benz etc. Many people typically think like you, but your wrong... Lexus LS 460 Lexus LS 460 L Lexus LS 600h L The hybrid version, $102,000 which is still cheaper then those other expensive cars, has been rated the SAFEST, CLEANEST, MOST QUITE AND SMOOTHER, AND BEST CAR ON THE PLANET; as it won the 'World Car Of the Year' for 2007; offering alot more then just luxury... It comes with a camera built in front the drivers face to monitor their actions and if it detects that if the Lexus was to become in a culision; it would annoce it to the driver, but if the driver doesnt have any response, 'the LS 600h L will automaticlly steer the vehicle our of harms way' and it decides were the safest spot is for the LS until you get back in control; something not offered in the BMer, or M. Benz... And on top of that, something that no BMW, or Mercedez Benz, or Rolls Royce, Maybach, Maserati, Porsche, Acura, Audi, Volvo or Renault has EVER accomplished is that they have NOT gotten a J.D. power and associates award for the best car.. Not to mention, ever since it first came out in 96; make that 11 awards the LS alone has recieved. And on top of that, Lexus is been award the most, and best awards ever on the planet then any other autmaker... So redo your research because if you were to spend over 100 thousand on a BMer that uses almost 13 mpg, while the LS gives 30 (with electricity), faster, more responsive, safer, and on top of that much more modern and easier to use, you would so be lost in the 21st century. An LS 600h L is the car of the future, the revolution, the 22nd century; the Best car ever developed on earth. Do your research and see why the LS shapes better then any other car and see that the LS still has a better value; lower annual costs etc...
