Q: How much is a Honda S2000 worth?
I have a 2001 Honda S2000. It has about 50k miles. Hard and soft tops. K&N cold air and many other mods i'm not sure of. It has what i believe is called a sports package. It also has built in front and rear radar. I am the 2nd owner. It has been babied from the start. If you could just tell me what it is worth. Yes i have checked KBB, i just wanted to get some opinions.
A: I've got a 2000 S2k. 40k miles. Tein suspension, Toda Racing internals, Invidia exhaust, we're talkin' some hardcore stuff here... mine is Silverstone with red Cobra Misano seats and lowered seat rails, sitting on a set of 17-inch Enkei WDM's on Potenzas, carbon fiber fenders, hood and trunk - all of which were painted over to look stock - and a high-quality Amuse replica bumper. All told I'm somethin' like 10k into the car with mods, probably a bit more, since it was all professionally done at some of the best shops in the Bay Area.
I put it up for sale on Craigslist asking 20k for it (which is a massive loss), just as kind of a feeler for it since I don't actually WANT to get rid of it. All the offers I got were 10k which is just friggin' stupid. Waited a couple weeks and put it back up with a "throw me some offers" header, and got offers from 5k to 15k.
Now is NOT the time to sell your car if you can avoid it; you'll take a big hit on whatever it is, but especially sports cars. It's a buyer's market, which worked great for me and my wife when we bought an '09 WRX STI, but it sucks if you're trying to sell something you've already got.
Q: What's faster a Honda S2000 or a Subaru Impreza WRX Sti?
We're going to say racing a mile distance straight drag. If the Impreza wins that race next competition for it.....A Lotus Exige S240? Who wins that one if it wins the first race?
Yuck! Gross me out! I hate Hondas, except for the S2000. The Civic is overrated, everybody got's one. Should get a Toyota.
A: In a drag race, the STI will walk on will run away with it all the way to the end. A stock STI is still pretty quick but a stock S2000 is not so much. Around a tight track, the S2000 might have an advantage though. With just exhaust and tuning, the STI can do mid 12's in the 1/4 mile. S2000 is nowhere near that even with all the bolt ons unless you turbocharge it.
Q: What is the best exhaust system for Honda S2000?
I am looking at either HKS Hi-Power Duel exhaust, Skunk2, Greddy, and Invidia Duel N-1.
A: i would go with the Invidia Duel N-1 it looks good sounds good and the performance is there.
if you really want to step up you need to get J's Racing FX Dual RS Exhaust yes its going to run a pretty pennie but better everything performance, looks, sound, and its even titanium with the blue tip and light wieght.

if both cars are modified to the fullest and have the same driver driving both of the cars on drag track which car would be faster, since i have been playing Need for Speed Underground (sony PS2) and well in the game i can beat the skyline which is also modified to the fullest with the Honda S2000 and what would really happen in reality???
A: FOR THE DOLTS, IT'S VTEC. There is no h. Because VTEC is a psuedo-acronym for variable valve timing and electronic lift control. The answer to your question. If the F20C or F22C is left in the s2000 then sadly no it will not. But let's say you swap in a 2jz from a supra tt then you are talking. I've seen it done too. If both cars had 1000hp and drag radials the s2000 could win with the supra swap. Just make sure you get big radials on the s2000 and a wheelie bar. So it's a possibility but the gtr is a much better car.

A: I'd go with a K20 swap. it would be easier and most cost effective. a K20 is what the new civic Si's have. throw on a turbo and run like 12PSI and you'll kill a S2K.

A: Boy there is some BS going on here!
The 2007 Honda S2000 has an invoice price of $31605.00 and an MSRP of $34845.00. Honda is also offering $2000.00 in dealer-cash for each S2000 sold (dealer cash is NOT a rebate - it's a bonus paid to the dealer for selling the car).
S2000 sales have remaind rather flat for 2007. Infact as of the end of July Honda has only sold 2820 S2000's - a decrease of 35% from 2006.
So, as a result of flat sales you should make an offer of invoice ($31605.00) minus the dealer cash of $2000.00 for an adjusted offer of $29605.00 plus TT&L.
A well-informed consumer is a consumer most likely to get the best deal!

Installing a turbo requires major knowledge of an engine. you can't just bolt it up and go. The exhaust end intake systems must be re-worked to allow for the turbo. A turbo is prtty complicated, especially in a car as small as an s2000 with not a lot of room under the hood

A: Nope your S.O.L. They all come with a six speed manual gearbox. HaHa, the S2000 is not a motorcycle. I swear some people just need to think before they post answers on here. :) HAHA Clowmy...lol funny....got my laugh in for the day.

Q: Question about Honda S2000 tires. How long should they last?
I've tried two different brands on the real wheels of my S2000, V-rated Yokohama's, and H-rated Kumho Ecstas, and I'm only getting about 7000-8000 miles out of them. I was originally surprised how short the Yokohama's lasted and the tire dealer told me that was normal for a softer tire with a higher speed rating on a car with that kind of rear-wheel torque. He suggested I drop to a lower speed rating because the harder tire should last longer. So I got H rated Kumhos. I basically got the same results. Can anyone confirm if this is normal or not? A couple different tire guys told me this is normal for that type of car, but I find it hard to believe.
I drive aggressive but don't abuse my tires, no burnouts or anything like that. I can't rotate them because the rear wheels are wider. I know Kumhos and Yokahamas aren't as good as a Goodyear or something like that, but I don't wanna put out the money on those if I'm gonna get the same results.
Alignment is fine and the tread wear is even.
A: That sounds about right. I believe it is a combination of driving style and the way the tires are aligned (factory, not a maladjustment which causes faster natural wear). Mine gets a bit more than that, but I am not that aggressive (daily driver).
