Q: For Christmas I'm buying a 2006 Honda Roadster. What color should I get?
I was thinking of black - It will have a hard and rag top.

A: Black is a really hard color to keep clean, you might also look at the Red and Midnight Blue for the s2000, these colors also look awesome on the roadster!

Q: Which car would you prefer your date would be driving BMW Z3(M Roadster) or Honda S2000?
I am trying to decide between Honda S2000, BMW Z3 M Roadster. I believe Honda S2000 might be a little bit more fun to drive but I keep hearing about ladies attention to BMW's and Z3 M Roadster looks good(drives good too). I am a single guy mid twenties and I would have no problem with more attention from the girls. From one point of view one of them is Honda and the other is BMW. From a driver's stand point they are both good cars. I am kind of leaning towards Honda S2000 but the BMW brand name recognition makes me struggle between those cars. Basically specifically comparing the appeal of Honda S2000 and BMW Z3 M Roadster what do you think which would you prefer your date to drive? Do you think there is a significant difference between those cars from female attraction stand point? (Marketing proffesionals should know something, cars, clothing, etc. should be making some difference, even if it is more for the initial attraction and I agree that girls aren't dating cars)

A: up to u... it doesnt matter which one u use, coz the important is the one who drive dat car

Q: 350Z roadster or honda S2000?
any one who owns any of these cars. please tell me your likes or dislikes also i would like to know how the condition of the convertible top has aged over the years

A: The two cars are rag tops honda's plastic window will turn brown in 4 years and Nissan Z will develop holes in the top in 4 years. Either way you loose. Roadsters are only nice one or two months a year down here in Texas then the A/C gets turned on or heat gets turned on top stays up the rest of the time. Roadsters you hear every car around you and roll over accidents are not nice with cloth over head. There are some 2004 z car tops still un affected by wear and tear (because they never get folded) and kept clean. I don't know why Honda decided to go with clear plastic weight might be why. Any way convertible tops are expensive to replace. Honda's manual top is less expensive. Nissan uses 6 motors and 12 micro switches and just the cloth costs over $450 and about $1,000 to have it properly installed it also needs the 4 head roll bar covers replaced each time to remove the top stack.

Q: whats the better roadster? bmw z3/z4 or honda s2000?
i prefer the s2000..though i almost bought a 98 z3

A: I'd go with the S2000. Not that the Z3/Z4 are bad cars, but the S2000 is more of a purist's sports car. High-revving engine, razor sharp (though difficult handling, especially the early cars) few things to get in the way of actually driving it. It's basic-ness is one of its greatest characteristics

Q: What do YOU think is the fuel of the future and why?
Personally I think it will be Hydrogen and electric power that fuel the cars of tomorrow. There has been major buzz about the Honda FCX Clarity, Tesla Roadster, and Chevy Volt.

A: I agree...everything seems to be going "green" these days...these companies seem to be finding a way to do anything and everything with cars...isnt the prius run on some sort of earth friendly fuel....saw an electric car on top gear last year too....so who knows....lets just hope its cheaper than what we have to fork out for now!!!

A: Your list is impressive indeed. But Sandman, have you forgotten the Ford T-Bird ? Vroommmmm It even has a cup holder for your, extra shot, white chocolate mocha latte Starbucks coffee ...which is still too expensive, but I buy it anyway... off your list though....Lotus Elise

Q: CMS Roadster Touring Moped 250cc Water Cooled ... Thinking of buying?
does anyone know anything about CMS http://countrymotorsports.com/inc/sdetail/3587 thats the website .. are parts easy to get? can you use name brand parts like honda etc...??? or are there any other scooters in that price range? in the 250cc range.

A: Cheap Chinese -- looks pretty -- won't run long.

Q: Honda S2000 or Mazda Miata?
Or any other one... What is the best roadster for the money

A: Miata. The Honda is a great, sporty car. But the Miata was built as a sports car from the ground up. Both good cars. The Miata has been a Car and Driver "10 Best Cars" 9 times. The S2000 - 4 times. Drive them and it should be an easy choice.

Q: Ladies please help me on car buying?
I am trying to decide between Honda S2000, BMW Z3 M Roadster. I believe Honda S2000 might be a little bit more fun to drive but I keep hearing about ladies attention to BMW's and Z3 M Roadster looks good(drives good too). Do you think there is a significant difference between those cars from female attraction stand point? (Marketing proffesionals should know something cars. clothing, etc should be making some difference, even if it is more for the initial part)

A: I personally recognize the Honda S2000 name but some females may not know that it's a high end sports car. What if the lady doesn't see you in the car and you tell her what you drive? Would you rather say Honda or a Z3 Roadster?? Point being she's going to be impressed when she hears Roadster. When it comes to which is more attractive to the ladies I think that the woman is going to be more concerned with the color than whether or not the S2000 is better than the Roadster. All we are going to recognize is that it's an expensive sports car. Forget the rest. But really, don't rest your whole decision on what's going to bring you the most women. If all of your choices are expensive cars, just pick the one you personally prefer.

Q: Best way to get car insurance?
I have heard that it may be better to get car insurance from a broker rather than online. I am 18, and I want to get my own policy. I am currently a named driver on my dads policy, as it is much cheaper to do it that way but I want to buy a car in my name and start earning my own ncb. I currently drive a Jaguar X Type and the insurance costs £2100 from Tesco (with my dad as the main driver). It would cost me about £3200 to insure it myself with Tesco. I want to get a smaller car that is easier on petrol and road tax, but I am having trouble finding a realistic quote. I am thinking about either a Smart Roadster coupe, a honda civic or ford fiesta. With Tesco, I dont get 1 year ncb as I would have done with Direct Line, and the insurance would be OK if I did. Its tempting me to lie on the insurance if I cant find a decent quote (under £2000), although I wouldn't want to. Can anyone offer me any advice on how to find cheaper car insurance or recommend any companies ?

A: Have you tried http://www.confused.com http://www.gocompare.com and http://www.comparethemarket.com - you only have to fill in your details once on each website and they will get quotes from loads of brokers and insurance companies. I have found Quinn Direct (http://www.quinn-direct.co.uk ) best for young drivers, especially if you are a named driver on your parents policy. If you decide to be the policy holder they will give you a big discount for being a named driver on last years insurance (I would still try adding your dad as a named driver on your policy as this often lowers the price further). If you use the comparison sites above they will get a quote from Quinn Direct for you and save you filling in yet more forms. I wouldn't lie about having a no claims bonus as most (if not all) companies ask for you to send proof and will cancel you policy if they don't receive it within 14 days. It's worth changing your details to see the difference in price (annual mileage etc.). Once I found fully comprehensive was the same price as third party fire and theft, so it's worth checking all levels of cover. Good luck ;)

Q: What Car should I take?
I'm gonna get a new car to my birthday but i cant decide which to pick. I want it to be something sporty and good looking but not suck the money on gas and insurance out of my pocket. I'm gonna be 18. I'm thinking about one of these cars: 1. Honda Accord (coupe) 2. Chrysler CrossFire roadster 3. Evo X 4. Eclipse spyder 5. Nissan 350Z 6. Audi A4 (conv) If you had the choice between these which would you take? Please give me the pros and cons on each! Thanks!

A: wow, lucky you! i'd be infinitely happy if i was getting a new car for my 18th birthday, which is coincidentally in 6 days. XD i am saving up for an 05-07 mustang gt coupe though! 1. great looks, great on gas, and probably not bad on insurance 2. cool car, but maybe not so great on reliability, and probably pretty bad on insurance b/c its a roadster. and gas i would assume is not the best, but it is a rather uncommon car in comparison to most of the others on this list. 3. VERY cool car, great thing to be a part of (the general lancer evo community i mean). probably is decently reliable, and at least acceptable on gas and insurance (4drs usually better than 2drs for insurance). also less common than most of the other cars, besides the chrysler! 4. great looks, but probably pretty hard on insurance (b/c spyder is a conv. isnt it?) 5. great looking sporty car, decent reliablility, probably not the best on insurance. 6. very, very nice car, as all audi/luxury cars should be, but probably not great on insurance and very expensive to repair should anything happen to it (which something will, all cars have problems eventually!) not sure about gas. i'd go with the honda, the mitsubishi evo, or the audi (even though convertible tops can be hassle to look after and maintain). the 350z's look real good, but i havent looked into their gas and they're probably not the best on insurance. another suggestion, unless you've already looked into it and decided it wasnt for you, is the mazda rx-8, or if you're really into a roadster/conv., the mazda mx-5 miata. LOVE those cars. honda's are by default best on gas and you also get their legendary reliability (like subaru and toyota, impossible to kill those cars). if they still made the toyota celica i would say go with one of those, they're my second favorite car after the mustang, but since they don't, then the accord. also, you probably know this already, but by default (especially if you're male) your insurance will be pretty high due to your young age and will be affected by any past traffic incidents :( however, the car you choose is a VERY big factor on just how much higher (or lower!) it will be - based on body style and by what kind of drivers most often insure those cars (e.g. a lot of young males drive nissan 350z's, and insurance premiums are affected by that statistic). p.s. be ABSOLUTELY sure to test drive whatever you decide on! you may go to drive it for the first time after getting it, and HATE the way it feels (e.g. handling, acceleration, engine exhaust note, etc.) if someone (e.g. your parents) are buying the car for you, don't tell them the one you want and then let them order it right away - head down to a dealership to test one out (in the model/trim you want) first.. and maybe even buy the one you drive. :)

Q: Which looks best?
A Honda S2000, Mazda MX-5, or Nissan 350z roadster?

A: The MX-5 looks good, the 350z looks better, but the S2000 looks the best. Its looks are going to make it a classic someday.

Q: Hmm. First car decision help?
I'm getting my first car very soon. I'm looking for something under 20,000$. I don't know much about cars besides my two dream cars (BMW Z4 Roadster and the Porsche Boxster) but I know I do NOT want an SUV. I've been pondering an Acura, but I've gotten a lot of people recommending a Honda Civic or a Toyota Corolla. I'm a bit confused. I really don't plan on having my first car long, perhaps 2 years, 3 years tops. (Parents are letting me switch to a 50,000$ car after 2-3 years.) So I'm just looking for recommendations of a first car, and WHY is it better than the others. The note about the switching out another car after a couple of years is due to the hybrid cars that I'm not really interested in. I've heard these "go-green" cars save you money on gas IN THE LONG RUN, but are expensive INITIALLY. That's in response to one of my rude answers.

A: A Honda Civic is a good 1st car... good size, good gas mileage, reliable, good warranty, comes with a decent stereo typically, and is easy to sell to someone else after a couple years.

Q: why are australian cars so dear, looking for a convertible?
hi, im moving to australia within the next two weeks to go to uni, and im looking for a replacement for my bmw mini which im unable to import, i have approx £11,000 which here in england easily buys you a nice second hand car. the problem is i cant seem to find anything reasonably priced, for example i fancied having an audi tt roadster, (lol sunshine and top down an all that haha) but the only one i can find for sale in WA is a year 2000 and $32000 which is approx £14000 and back here in the UK i could easily pick up a similar one for £9000. why is it soooo dear??? can anyone enlighten me? so looking for info for were i can get a nice pref convertible within my price range such as an mercedes slk, audi tt, honda s2000, also interested in cars such as a bmw 3 series E46 coupe or another mini!!! so if anyones got one for sale which i can afford or can help? any help would be much appreciated! thanks, scott

A: European cars cost a lot to import to Australia due to the distance, these cars also attract a luxury car tax in Aust when new. So as the car is sold it still carries some of the costs from new. Therefore our european cars cost a sh!t load more than they should, but hey thats life buy an Aussie built car if you dont want to pay the big bucks! As for buying a convetible..... Australia is not that sunny place you see in the magazines every day. We have some of the extremest weather in different parts of the country. I would buy one with a sun roof only, not soft top. Rememer 40 degrees Celcius is not the temperature to have a flimsy rag top folded back. you will want full protection and a good airconditioner.
