Q: Acura TSX....?
OK, So I am looking at the : Acura TSX 5AT w/Navigation System For 28 invoice. 30 MSRP. What other car in this range can compare? Would you choose another car over this one? which?

A: I kinda like Accord's ride a little better, and with a V6 it has sufficient power, and for that kind of money you can have any option possible. But there is nothing wrong with the TSX.

Q: Why are my interior a/c and radio control lights inside my Acura TSX not working?
I have a 2004 Acura TSX, almost 70,000 miles. It has been a really good car. But this past weekend the lights inside are not working. Not all the lights, just the ones that light up the radio and a/c controls. My hubby thought it could be a fuse but when he checked he said the fuse was good. Any other thoughts before I drive it 30 miles to the closest dealership?

I have a 2008 Acura TSX. I speak clear English without an accent of any kind. The car rarely picks up the phone numbers that I recite to it correctly. Is there any way to increase the car's ability to understand what I'm saying (such as a training mode)?

A: if you look under set up for the navigation system there is an option for voice controls make sure that its under the correct gender (male or female) that will increase the reliability a little bit but there is no way to "train" it.

Q: where can i buy a dvd rom for a 2004 acura tsx?
I have a 2004 Acura TSX and my DVD-Rom has gone out. I cannot find the dvd rom alone for sale anywhere. Can anyone help me? I saw it on ebay a couple times but non have been posted reciently. Help me Im lost w/o my Navi!

A: It will only be available from the dealer, a junkyard or ebay. It might be cheaper to buy an aftermarket one from a stereo shop.

Q: How long should it take to replace a clutch on an acura tsx?
my clutch recentley has a lot more slack in it. when i try to accelerate my RPMs will go up and then when i let off the gas it will catch back up with the transmission. Im assuming i need to replace my clutch and possibly my flywheel. But as far as labor is concerned...how many hours should i expect to pay for? 2004 Acura TSX I-4 iVTec

I am looking to buy a used 2006 Acura TSX, but definitely want factory xenon headlights. Does the 2005 or 2006 come with them? Also, are there any differences from the 05 and 06 models? Thanks.

A: Yes, all Acura's come standard with that. No differences between other years except that the newer years offered more options like maybe a new paint color or GPS as an option.

A: They are good cars. but they are not really for younger people. Something like a 2 door. a Honda civic. but if that is the car you are thinking of i say go for it. it is a great car.

Q: Why does my 2004 Acura TSX consume fuel so quickly?
I'm wondering as to why my 2004 Acura TSX consumes gas at a quick rate. I drove just this afternoon, distances not that far and already about an 8th of the tank was gone. I at first made the mistake to fill with regular gas but then just recently switched to premium, which is the recommended. There was an improvement, but the gas still seems to be burned very quickly. To answer any possible questions I do not use the AC/seat warmers much at all. What could my problem possibly be?

A: The only way to really know if you're consuming excessive amounts of fuel is to completely fill the tank, reset the trip odometer, drive the car until the tank is mostly empty, refill it, and note the gallons used for the refill. Then divide the gallons used for the refill into the miles driven (read from your trip odometer). This will give you a miles per gallon figure. You might be surprised by the results...that it's not as bad as you had thought. Fuel economy can vary substantially. Example: I get from 15-22+ mpg around town in my '06 TL AT, and up to 32 mpg on the freeway if I don't 'goose' the throttle on a long trip (car has performance mods to open up the intake/exhaust). Numerous things can account for diminished fuel economy: - underinflated tires - cheap gas - 'riding the brake' - jackrabbit starts & lots of driving under extremen loads (e.g., driving uphill) - poor tuning (e.g., valves out of adjustment) - fouled spark plugs - a weak spark - a fuel leak - dirty air filter - excessive exhaust restriction of some form (e.g., a large dent to the exhaust pipe) - failing ECM (engine control module) - carbon buildup - etc. If after verifying fuel economy, you find that you're out of spec with the Acura's published numbers, you might take the car to the dealer or a competent mechanic for some diagnostics. Best of success.

Q: Am I to only put Honda oil in my Acura TSX ?
The Manual for the 2004 Acura TSX leans you towards only using Honda oil. Im sceptical using another brand. Im many miles from an Acura or Honda dealership and the wait is endless.

A: Use any oil you choose, all oils are SAE approved and honda oil just has there name on the bottle and I'm sure is manufactured by a couple of differen't refineries like valvoline.

Q: what is that blue light in my 2004 Acura TSX?
There is a Blue LED light in my 2004 Acura TSX and I dont know what its for. Its right between the two lights in the front of the ceiling. The lights by the rear view mirror. Does anyone know what that light is there for? Just curious.

A: some people just throw any answer out ther. lol. that led light is for the optional security alarm the dealer offers u u when u buy the car. my girl just got a 2006 tsx fully loaded and purchached that alram. i dont know why. it beyond expensive. but her led light is on the ceiling(headliner) in the corner of her winshield. if u do have that alram. sit inside ur car and activate ut alarm. wait about 30seconds 2 fully acticvate. moved around and u should see it blink. it dtects and vibration 2 the sensors all around the car. hopefull this helps. if not call any dealer and theyll provide more details.

Q: When will the new Acura TSX come out?
I am thinking about to get a new car. Acura TSX is my top choice. My friend asked me to get a Pre-owned Certified Acura as TSX has been out for several years. Otherwise, just wait a year or two for a new generation of TSX. What do you guys think of Pre-owned Certified Acura TSX? Please advise. Thanks!

A: the new generation tsx will be the 09 model which will be coming out sometime in 08. I own a 06 milano red/ebony int 6speed/w nav for almost 6 months. It has almost 15,000 miles on it. Love it. would recommend it. if all possible get manual transmission. I would also recommend you try the honda accord or toyota camry also. test drive them and then decide. do not rush into a hasty decision- car salesmen have a way a trying to get you to buy immediately. do not settle for the price-always try to go lower go to different dealers and then let them hassle. my parents own a98 honda accord- they seem to be spending alot of money on it's maintenance-continuous problems. it has only 66,000 miles.

Q: The interior clock, radio and temp control lights stopped working in my 2004 Acura TSX. Whats wrong?
First I noticed the clock was real dim and as I am staring at it wondering why, it came back on. Then a little later the clock, the radio and the temp controls were real dim. Now, none of them are on at all. Is this something simple like a fuse, or am I really going to have to drop my car off to Acura. Sigh. This is a 2004 TSX and I purchased it from Acura this past June.

A: This happened to me too, when I "accidently" hit the screen where the radio and temperature was. So i brought it over to my car dealer and they said that some light were shoke to hard and misplaced causing it to burn out, i suggest u bring it over to a Acura dealer and check whats wrong

A: That's true. Accords are more trustworthy. Great mileage too! I do not see a problem with Acuras, though. I've worked in the car industry for twenty years (Auto Excel), and Accords are much more reliable to a consumer than Acuras. It's also a better general name for the car, you know? Like above stated, even after 100,000 miles the car still runs perfect. I do not know the difference between the latest 2008 models and the 2006.. as not a whole lot with Accords have changed. But then again, anything Honda is safe, secure, and reliable. It's your choice though bro.. what I would do is visit some dealerships in your area, drive both around and determine what you like best. Check out ePinions.com to see if people have reviewed it yet. Searching online will get you nowhere, as some new car dealerships think they generate leads by putting $0 as the price. IMO an Accord will do you better.
