Q: Did I get a good deal on my 1992 Acura Legend?
Hi, I recently purchased a 1992 Acura Legend for $6,100. The car had 139000 miles on it but all the services were performed at the Acura dealer. The car is a one owner and everything is in almost excellent condition. The leather seats are in almost mint condition only a few small cracks and a little hole in the leather on the drivers seat. I think I may have over payed a little bit. Oh and the power window on the drivers side rolls up kind of slowly.

A: aznbo0tymuch, I'm not too knowledable when it comes to auto repair. Last month I had some problems with my Toyota Sienna and I wasn't sure how to fix them. I tried to search the web for tips, but the procedures were too complex for my skills. I ended up going to the dealship for my repairs. The dealership tends to charge more than mom and pop repair shops, but they've seen all sorts of situations (car insurance problems, repair warranty issues, etc) and they seem to always find a way to help me. Q: How good of a car is Acura Legend 1995?
hello i am thinking of buying a 95' acura legend with about 150k miles on it for $1000. there is nothing wrong with the car except for when you lock the car is make a ticking noise. but everything is in good shape. do u think this car is a good car to use for 1-2 year??
A: let me say that they're real gas guzzlers, it can drink gas like a v8 SUV. problem is it only takes 91 octane and above. sure its a reliable and very comfortable car, but if fuel economy is a concern for you think about it again. good luck

i have a 1991 Acura Legend and i was wondering if there are rims that would fit on it.
A: you can either go to a local rim shop and to get custom rims or else go on ebay.com and type what year your legend is for your wheels. or sometimes you can look in the classifieds of your newspaper for rims
Q: Does anyone else own or like the Acura Legend?
I am a student, looking for a nice looking and very reliable car and the acura legend caught my eye. The first time I saw it I thought it looked vaguely like a Nissan Skyline, and then after looking at prices I was amazed at some of the lower milage ones costing only around 4k-6k... This car seems too good to be true! why dont I see as many of them on the road nowadays? It has some amazing options for such an old car (climate control, leather seats, bose sound system), and I think it would be perfect (and very classy) high school/college car. Not to mention Acura/Honda reliability! Is there anyone out there who owns an Acura legend and would like to share their experience with this car?

Q: if i install a intake on my acura legend do i have to get a exhaust as well?
i have a 1991 acura legend ls 4dr with 152k on the engine and i got a intake for it but im worried if i have to a get a performance exhaust along with it? will putting it on do anything bad to the engine?
A: No. The intake has nothing to do with the exhaust.
Q: 1992 Acura Legend 4 Speed Automatic Transmission Not Engaging?
I own a 1992 Acura Legend and whenever I shift into reverse, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th it does not engage I hit the gas and it seems as though the car is just in neutral. Any answers are appreciated.
A: could be your tranny is gone...they don't last forever.

i have a 92 acura legend and im having bad gas mileage. my gas gauge goes up and down when heavy acceleration. and it is also hard to start in the morning. what could my problem be. i checked my air filter and its good and my spark plugs are not bad. what could it be please help..

Q: The cost to repair left CV Joint on 1988 Acura Legend?
Hello, I have a 1988 Acura Legend, and I need to know the cost of LABOR ONLY to fix the left CV Joint? I already have the part and I just need to know a ballpark estimate of the labor costs?
A: Well when I worked in a shop in Indianapolis, Ind. I replaced many CV Joints(Front Axle). The cost at that shop with the part was 215.00, another shop that I worked at it was 185.00. So it all varies where you are. Alot of times if your brakes are not in good shape it would be smart to have them replaced while they are that far into it,if you have the money.
The labor is usually about 80.00 alone w/o part
Q: anyone know how to replace head gasket on a 91" acura legend?
my 91 acura legend been over heating alot and i thought it was the thermostat. i finally took a closer look into it and noticed it was the head gasket. anyone know how to replace it or know any website where i can find manual on fixing it step by step. i don't want to spend any money on repairing manual books or taking the car to the shop. i'm in debt and want to rerplace it myself............help anyone plzzzzz.
A: your going to have to get a torque wrench and check what the torque on it is then u just start taking the valve cover off then unscrew the head and replace the head gasket and make sure you torque it to the appropriate level you dont want another blown gasket.
Q: Changing alternator belt on Acura Legend?
I have a 1982 Acura Legend and need to chang the alternator belt. It looks as if removing the battery will give me better access to the bolts but I was wondering if there were any bolts, etc. that I will have to rech from under the car or if all (I hope) are reasonable accessible. Thanks!
A: there should be a schematic under the hood on a sticker. As for bolts, you simply need to move the belt tensioner forward to loosen. It should slip right off.
Q: Lots of smoke coming from under the hood of my Acura Legend?
My Acura Legend is about a '98. I went out one morning after having a tune up, to warm it up. When I went outside there was smoke coming both from under the hood and from the rear (smog pipe). I also paid $400 for it to be repaired but it still shakes when I am at a stop light. Any ideas on whats really going on based on this info?
A: well it sound like a oil leak some time they spill oil when they do the oil change. or it can be that u need a new head gasket or a oil pan.if i was u bring it back and tell them that u want it fix.good luck i hope i help out!

A: All Acura Legends are notorious for Blown Head Gaskets. I've had 2 Acura Legends and Both eventually had Blown Head Gaskets. If you take it to a shop to replace it will be 2k or 2.5k to fix. Or if you know how to do it...it only cost 300 bucks for parts. If you do plan to get one check for excessive white smoke from exhaust, radiator fluid smell in the engine bay, and fluctuating heat sensor. Also the Pwr windows suck....eventually the window will knock off its track and stop working.
