Q: Can my 2003 mitsubishi eclipse GTS smoke an acura integra GSR?
Theres this guy who talks alot saying I cant keep up with his car? He has an acura integra gsr with an intake, exhaust, and some plugs and my eclipse GTS is stock!!!! Can I smoke him? All those parts he has just makes his car loud!! What perfomance parts should I put on my car that would make it faster not just loud?
A: I beleive the new GTS has the V6 so it has plenty of power for that light car.. The GSR is built for being tuned and fast..
GTS has what 210 hp and has a top speed of like 130 and a 1/4 mile of lets say 15-16 seconds..
the GSR if the gsr has a turbo is going to get that extra boost of energy your car wont. I would say it should pull a head
Q: What engines can I transplant into a 1994 Acura Integra with minimum modification? Will an Accord or civic?
I have an Acura Integra I purchased with no engine or transmission what other cars can I take one out of to place in my vehicle? Its an automatic, I am looking to do this with minimal modifications.... Thanks in advance for any and all help!!!!
A: Any B series engine (b16a, b18b, b18c1, b18c5 etc) will swap right in there, if your Integra is an RS, LS, or GS it came stock with a B18b1, if it is a GSR it came with a B18c1. Many engines you will find will be JDM, and manual transmission will be much easier to find, you could change it over to manual without too much work but if you want auto then you'll find one. An Accord engine (F series) will require too much work and will not be beneficial compared to a B series unless you got a F20b but it will be expensive and difficult. A civic engine will be underpowered for you vehicle unless it is the B16 form an si or type-r. If you are confined to smog laws then you might want to get the stock engine or at least make sure you don't put in an engine from a year older than the vehicle, same year or newer should be fine. Q: Is possible to use and ignition off a honda civic for a 90-93 Acura Integra?
I'm looking for a 90-93 acura integra ignition for cheap but can't seem to find one for cheap not even on ebay. So i ask, is possible to use and ignition off a honda civic? What years would i be able to use? Any other useful tips?
A: its possible, the 90-93 integra is very similar to the EF style civic, i have parts, such as my short shifter, that fit onto an integra, EF style civic, and a CRX, ive heard of people putting integra Dash boards in civics and vice versa, im sure though for the most part it should be a direct bolt in repair, buy one from a junk yard for like 20 bucks and see if it works so your not wasting big money on a brand new one
Q: Does anyone know how to replace the speakers in a 1995 Acura Integra RS model?
I need to replace the speakers in my Acura Integra. The back speakers have been blown since I got the car a year ago. I need to replace them now but Im not sure how to do it or where to get the speakers at. The speakers are curved and I need to replace them with aftermarket specially made Acura speakers. Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.
A: Scoche makes adaptors to allow different speakers to be put in, in case you were looking for a good sound.

A: That's a pretty big job because I think with your car you are also going to have to deal with the timing belt. If you don't know how then you have to take it in. It's too big of a job for the inexperience a pro needs to get it done.
Q: My parents are getting me a 1996 Acura Integra for Christmas, but the paint color is ugly?
It's a 2 door cute little Acura Integra. But it's dark burgundy red. (The color of the gamecocks in college football, I am a BIG clemson girl ;)

A: You're getting some bad quotes from these posters. If you want a good paint job; it will cost at least $1500. And, even that's low, because they would have to do a complete color change to your car. It would be less expensive if it was already black and they just had to do the exterior, but in your case, they would have to do under the hoods, inside doors, etc... Don't be surprised if you're quoted at at least $2000.
Q: How expensive would it be to convert an Acura Integra into a manual transmission?
I own a 1999 GS Integra with an automatic tranny and it has ABS. It's currently giving me problems (I have another yahoo answers question in the Acura section about this). I'm trying to figure out would it be a good idea to strip out all the automatic tranny junk, TCM, wires, driveline, etc. and just slap on the 5 speed and sell off all the automatic gear? What's the average market value for a job like this?
I plan on having a racing shop that I know with serious reputation to do the swap. I figured selling the old tranny for the new one to the shop or to someone else will more than make up for the costs.
A: i would and i have it was a 1994 Honda very same. but tranny went bad so bought a second car with a bad engine and in bad shape and swapped the ecu pedals flywheel and all sensors. ran great the axles were the same so i left my new ones on and drove it until i sold it for twice that amount i paid for it 2500. your trans and senors and the whole wiring is a good project for some one so before buying a 5 speed ask around maybe someone will swap you for theirs. if not. sale cheap around 400- 600 for all that is what you would pay for it at a yard. 300 for trans and 300 for other. you can make more if you sell as a swap.
as for your swap it took me three day and only costed 300 for the other 5 speed car.
Q: What type of Acura Integra do I have?
I recently bought an Acura Integra (1996). I am not sure what type it is. It does have a VTEC motor in it. How can I go about finding what type it is-GS-R, Type R etc etc. Is there some way to tell from the VIN number. Any and all help is appreciated, Thank you.

A: Do a google search for the VIN. It'll come up with the year, make, and model on Carfax.com.

A: the headers is one of the easiest things to do to the car....if you cant figure that out you shouldnt be modding cars....not trying to be mean in all but thats just the truth...

i live in a house with the landlord and 2 other roommates, and one of the old roommates moved away, leaving his 1992 broken down Acura Integra in the garage. I think it has busted headers or something. None of us know how to fix it and we probably don't have the money, time or equipment to do so. What should we do with it?

A: yeah! You can also have a Automatic GSR!
Just buy the GSR motor and plug in your old LS tranny and go buy yourself a SIR-G or SI VTEC Automatic ECU and there you go!
*note... the SIR-G or SI VTEC is japan brand Honda... A.K.A. GSR
but in japan... you can get either manual or automatic... The ECU is pretty rare in the USA... you might have to go onto them JDM websites and email them if they have it or if they can get it!!!!

Q: What is the manufacturer's recommended tire pressure for a 1990 Acura Integra LS?
I know this can be found on the sticker inside the drivers side door frame, but I don't own an Acura Integra -- I'm trying to buy some custom valve stem caps with built-in pressure guages as a gift for someone and I need to know the manufacturer's tire pressure specs.
I'm looking for the values on the sticker on the inside of the driver's side door frame. I will only accept an answer from someone with a 1990 Acura Integra. If you do not have these exact values, please do not answer the question.
A: Don't do what the tire says, that is a max pressure, when you fill a tire to max pressure your putting a lot of stress in the centre of the tread, you'll wear the centre of the tire out and the sides will be good. I do believe honda used about 28 or 29PSI in the tires, but anywhere from 26-32 should be good for a car that. It doesn't have to be exact, becasue when the tire moves it generates heat and will cause the tire pressure to raise, and when its cold the pressure will be lower. so anything between 26PSI - 32PSI will be good.
