Q: How does the Acura CSX compare to the New Honda Civic?
I was looking at getting an '07 Civic, and while I still feel it's a beautiful car I also feel like it's missing a lot of the bells and whistles that I've grown accustomed to. Would moving up to an Acura CSX be worth the extra money?
A: If you're looking for bells and whistles then get the acura, if you're looking for reliability then get the honda. I worked in the service deparment at an acura dealership and those bells and whistles break down a lot.
Q: Will the factory spoiler on the Honda Civic fit on the Acura CSX?
Acura sells their CSX spoiler for over 700 + taxes!
I can get a Civic spoiler for around 400ish online... but I'm not sure if it will fit the CSX?
A: Yes, but you will have to drill holes. And it will look bad.
Q: Gas economy for Acura CSX and Infiniti G35?
Hi,
I bought an Acura CSX lately hoping the gas mileage would be at least 10liter per 100km in city, but I am getting only about 12ltr/100km when I am driving very gently.
As I am pretty dissapointed at this number, I am switching it to Infiniti G35 (2004-2006).
If you have one, please advise me what kind of gas mileage you are getting in city. I know the city rating published by Infiniti is about 12lt/100km but those numbers are never accurate...
A: You think the CSX is bad, wait until your drive the G 35. You'll do at least 30% worse.
Q: Is there a body kit for the 2006 acura csx(which is only in canada) please tell me any websites with a bodykit
for the acura csx
A: I'm not too sure, but you might be able to get the kit through your dealer.
You can find aftermarket bumpers and wings on eBay, and I do know that Mugen has a full kit for it (if not several kits). Go to Mugen at http://www.mugen-power.com/top.html, (I tried to check it, but the English page was under construction) or http://www.kingmotorsports.com/
As a last resort, you can go to http://www.bodykits.org/custom.html ; they make custom kits for any car.
I'm sure that once the car has been out for a while, it will be a lot easier to find a good kit.
Other names for this car are;
Honda Civic FD1, (Japan, Europe, etc.) although NOT is the US;
Mugen has a car called the Civic Dominator - I am pretty sure this is the same as the CSX, but I heard it is only a one-off project.
Honda Civic Type R (Japan)
You might find something under these names.
If you go to http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19227, they have a Civic FD1 done by summit- they used a Mugen kit, too.
I'll update you later if I find anything else.
Q: how do i fix "system is too lean" P0171 on my acura csx?
i have a short ram intake and i kno that this is causing the problem i just want to know how to correct it so the check engine light doesn't come on...i have already hooked up my car to an OBD reader and cleared the code but then after a while it comes back with the same P0171. PLEASE HELP!!
A: The ram intake should not be the problem. Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Check your fuel pressure. If it is lower then it should be it could be the regulator or possible a pump problem. Also make sure your battery is showing 13.5 volts when running. If it is less, this would make the fuel pump not work correctly.
Q: Which inventor invented the 2007 Acura CSX?? 10 POINTS!?
I need to know who invented the 2007 Acura CSX! plz help me, i need this for my report... who ever can find the rite answer... and info on the inventor! 10 POINTS!!!
ASAP THX! PLZ!!!!
A: Nobody "invented" the CSX. It was designed at the Honda design center.
Q: Acura CSX 2008 black color?
In 2007, the Acura CSX was available in black. I think they called it nighthawk black pearl. You could see a bit of blue in the sunlight. Is the 2008 version available in that exact same color? I know the color name hasn't changed, but I think the color has become more like 100% black.
The CSX is only available in Canada. It is very similar to the Honda Civic EXL.
A: I have seen CSXs, and they are only available in Canada, for about US$34,000. They are not just Civic EXLs, they have xenons, paddle shifters, leather, side signals, more sporty trim, etc. etc.
The 2008 color is the same as the 2007
Q: Should I buy a 2008 Acura CSX? (rumoured to be discontinued nxt year)?
I can get 3500 off msrp for a new 2008 Acura CSX with 0.9% financing for 48 months. the whole vehicle will cost me around 30k at the end of 48 months. but i hear rumours (very possible) that the CSX will be discontinued in 2009.
should i get the CSX or buy the civic coupe lx, which is 4k cheaper? CSX has a lot premium stuff on top of the civic, so I am leaning heavily towards the CSX.
but i'm not sure if the resale value of the car will go down once the CSX has been officially discontinued by Acura. and im also concerned about finding parts for the car 10 years down the road. but looking at the EL, the resale value does not seem to be significantly affected when it was discontinued.
so confused - going to an acura dealer tmr (30 mins away from my house) and i would really appreciate any advice.
A: Just because the car is discontinued does not mean they will not make parts for the car anymore. Acura is the same company as Honda, but Acura is the "luxury" side of Honda. If I am not mistaken, the CSX has the same engine as the Civic. The only difference is that it is nicer :- ).
Almost everyone knows that Hondas and Toyotas have high resale value. Rest assure you are buying a supped up Honda Civic. Making it discontinued might boost its value if anything.
Q: 08 Acura CSX or 08 Impreza 2.5i Sport Package?
Which car should one get for their first car?
Both are around the same price since I can get $3~4k off the CSX.
A: If you drive in the snow get the subie, I have one and a absolutly love it. However if you dont need the AWD probably shouldnt pay for it, go for the acura
Q: is the 2008 Acura CSX a good car?
A: The CSX is the Acura version of the Civic. It is a Canadian market car. Civics are the best selling cars in Canada, so a luxury version makes sense there. Unlike the US Civic, it is available with a 2 liter 155 hp engine similar to the one that powered the base model RSX and 7th generation Civic Si in addition to the 197 hp engine from the current US Si. Basically, it is to the Civic what the TSX is to the European market Accord. I haven't driven one, but it should be a great car.
Q: Why can't we Americans buy Canadian cars and drive in the us?
Acura has a CSX which is similar to the civic but it is not available in the us. I would like to know why. That car would be a great cross between luxury and economy for me.
A: You can but wouldn't be smart. You'll pay double the taxes. Buy a different car, there are better ones than Acura CSX.
Q: trying to locate projector headlights and LED tail lights for 2006 civic, not the American model?
They are not like the American model civic they are the same as the acura csx in canada
A: Check this forum:
http://www.csxworld.com/forums/index.php
Or try one of these places...it looks like they can get anything.
Q: i want a new car which one?
I don't know which car i want to buy but these are cars i can afford and interested Dodge charger R/T , Acura csx type s , Honda civic si and dodge challenger r/t which one should i choose? which has good insurance ? i am only 17 so insurance is also important and this will be my second car .fuel mileage is important i drive atleast 70 km a day
A: Civic Si is the only option for you in this list. The Dodge's will not be reliable and will be bad on gas. The Acura RSX type S is the most expensive FWD car to insure in the country! It is just not worth it, an 03-07 Accord coupe with the V6 and 6 speed will be just as fast as the RSX type S, be way more luxurious and comfortable, and be better on your insurance.
So I would go with either the Civic Si, or a V6 Accord.
Another option is to find a 1998-2001 Honda Prelude, basically just as quick as the other two i mentioned, extremely good handling, great sporty look, good gas mileage for the power.
Good Luck
Q: Gas Mileage for TSX, and TL?
Hello,
I have a 07 Acura CSX (2.0 litter engine). Acura claims that this car gets about 27MPG in city but I am only getting 17MPG. So I am thinking of upgrading a car since the gas milage is super bad compared to the performance I am getting from it.
If you are an owner of TSX or TL, can you please let me know what kind of gas mileage you are getting in city?
Thanks,
A: both 23 overall

A: k20s into non k civics is a 12 grand swap compared to a 3 grand gsr swap. and as of getting a k20z3....thats a worthless motor if your going to go k. k20a or nothing bottom line. but as of the gsr motor......t-sleeve it stroke it to 2.0 and boost the hell out of it. good for gobs of power. check out clubcivic.com and start asking there.....
