Q: acura................?
theres a acura car that made 150 thousand mile n itz 1994
for 2 thousand dollar.... is that good can the acura take alot of millages
A: its still reliable my 94 integra has 250K+ miles and it still runs great. that was one of Honda's goals when he started his company
Q: How many miles should a brand new Acura TL have when it comes from the factory?
Im buying a new Acura TL and i was wondering how many miles an Acura tl has when it comes into the dealers lot. In other words, when its coming from the factory.
A: Acura works the same as Honda does, so here is the Deffinately Correct answer....
Whenever we obtain a vehicle form transport, it has between 2 and 4 miles on it depnding on how it got here....then we have to do (Both for Acura and Honda) what is called a pre-delivery inspection, and this is to make sure that the vehilce is complete and safe to sell.
You would be surprised what things are found on the Pre Delivery inspection....like loose oilplugs, crooked steering wheels, air in the lines for the brakes....etc etc. etc....
So for anywhere from 10 to 12 miles WE ADD per HONDA GUIDELINES to the vehicle during this Pre Delivery inspection, so as long as a dealer has done the right thing, and if NOONE has actually test driven it, it will have between 12 and 14 Miles on it at LEAST before a customers steps foot behind the wheel.

Q: Are there any advantages to selling at an Acura dealership comapred to a lower priced KIA?
I have a job offer to sale cars at a KIA store and an Acura store that requires a college degree. The Kia store is full of salesman that smoke on the lot and dress very unprofessional. The Acura dealer has professionally dressed salesman and smoking on the lot is not allowed. Is the money better at higher end dealerships or is the only real advantage atmosphere?
A: the acura store will pay you better in commissions. there'll be a wider profit margin between cost and retail (the gross). the cheaper a car is the less profit margin the dealer has on it. a 12000 dollar car only has around 100-300 dollars in margin in it as opposed to an acura that might have 3 or 4000 in margin. if you get paid 20% commission then you can clearly see which will pay you more.
of course, if the KIA store has a wild bonus program and you can work it properly you may be able to make the same money as the acura store but then the atmosphere comes into play.
if it was me i'd work at the acura store. just keep in mind that you'll need to know your stuff cuz the typical buyer at the acura store will be highly educated as opposed to the buyer at the KIA store.
Q: Why is my Acura hard to start when hot?
I have an Acura Legend 1989, a very nice and reliable car until now. Sometimes (50% of the time) when I make a quick stop (at the gas station, for example) the car will not start again until after about 20 minutes.
I replaced the spark plugs, the wires, the distributor cap and rotor. I change the oil regularly. I add an injectors cleaner regularly.
Have you had a similar problem with your vehicle? Is there any sensor that needs to be replaced? What do you recommend besides getting rid of the car?
I know the problem is not the starter because the engine moves while trying to start the car.
A: The reason your Acura won't start when it is hot is because of the main relay under the dash. In warm weather, the relay will heat up causing it not to respond. this relay controls the fuel pump. no fuel, no start.go to your local honda or acura dealer and purchase the part from them. i deal with this on a daily basis at work, a honda dealership.
Q: How many miles should an Acura TL have if it has not been test drove by anyone?
Im buying a new Acura tl and the guy says that the car already has 31 miles. Is this how it should be if it has not been test drove by anyone?
A: For a new car straight from the port to a dealership after PDI it should not have more then 10 miles.
The Acura HAS been test driven or used for a few lunch runs.
Its YOUR new car, be picky. No more then 10 miles and in the color you want and dont let them change your mind or DX (dealer exchange) one in for you because lot attendents are brutal on cars.

A: head unit for what?
Q: How can i buy a new Acura TL for a good price?
Does anyone know any good techniques for buying a new car? How can i get it for a good price? Any coupons for Acura?
A: Do your research. Shop around. Check the internet for available incentives. DO YOUR RESEARCH!
Q: Is it possible to trade in a salvaged 2000 Acura?
Looking to possibly trade in a 2000 Acura tl listed 'salvaged' in Seacoast area of NH. The transmission needs to be replaced for a 92,000 K(est.) 2000 Acura 3.2 tl. I don't have money to replace tranny and i feel that the best way out is to get a newer used or newer car. I have an existing car loan as well.
A: Good luck
Most dealers will not take a car that is not driveable UNLESS you are willing to let it go for $100 towards your trade in.
Salvaged title will hurt you too.
Still owe on it....they can add the amount on toyour new loan
Q: Do I need any special tools to change my oil in a 2008 Acura TL?
I just bought a 2008 Acura TL last December. I already had my first oil change at 6k miles. But now I want to switch to synthetic and start doing my own oil changes.
Do I need any special "Acura tailored" tools for an Acura TL in order to change my own oil and oil filter?
A: First - most luxury line cars have bumper to bumper warranty -that includes the oil change (free).

If you want to change your own oil, basically you will need
(1) jacks
(2) jack stands
(3) oil filter wrench
(4) hand tools (wrench)
(5) pan to catch oil

they have pans that you can catch oil AND carry it back to the store to dump the used oil (without spilling). Get the large size as it is difficult to get the oil to flow out just into the pan opening.
If you don't have hand tools, I suggest getting Sears Craftsman brand. They are solid like rock. And if they EVER break, just take it back and they will give you a replacement tool - on the spot. That way you can continue with the oil change (repair).
Sears also sells Jack & Jack stands. You can get their lowest price version for the home use.

I would wait for a sale on their hand tools. They have sales almost every month. I got the 154/155 piece set for $99. The set does NOT include filter tool - but that's pretty cheap.

Get the cheap oil filter tool - they are good enough for once in a while use.

Just a FYI -
There are 4 most important maintenance items in your engine
(1) engine oil (3k - 5K miles) - even with a full Synthetic
(2) tranny oil (30K miles)
(3) coolant (3 years)
(4) timing belt (60K miles)
Just keep those maintenance and your engine and tranny will be problem free. I have a 94 Civic with 187K miles and the engine + tranny + suspension runs like new. I get 41 MPG (doing 72 MPH). I can get even better MPG doing 55.
Good maintenance pays off.
Good Luck...
P.S. Don't use the oil filter tool to tighten the oil filter. Just use your firm grip. Don't over tighten your drain plug. It does NOT hold anything but just block the oil.

Q: What type of gasoline should I use for my Acura RSX type S ?
I know its recommended to use premium, but would it really hurt my engine if I used plus or just regular? I am asking because someone that owns a Acura TSX is using regular gas when its recommended to use better and he says that it doesn't affect his car? Please give a good answer.
A: PREMIUM!!! why would you go against the mfg's instructions? is it worth the risk to do otherwise? do not be cheap. if you could not afford the gas for the car, you should not have got the car. just ask mom and dad for extra money. lol. MY CIVIC Si WILL SMOKE YOU, at least with me driving!! drive saftely. use premium.

Q: How much would it cost to repair a dent the size of a nickel on an Acura TL?
I have a 2006 Acura TL and the color is Anthracite Metallic which is a dark grey color. On the Front Right Quarter Panel, there is a dent which looks like it was shot with a bullet but the bullet didnt go through the metal. Its diameter is the size of a penny.
How much in general would it cost if I were to bring it to a bodyshop and have them repair it with that powder stuff like joint compound and spray it.
Has anyone repaired a dent that size before? How much did it cost you?
A: paintless dent removal ask a detail shop in your area they will know the # to call there about 20-30 $ per dent( no repaint or bondo) hope this will help.
Q: How to Fix the automatic Shift Lock on a 1995 Acura?
I have a 1995 Acura Integra, with an automatic transmission. Two days ago I went to get into the car and the shift lock was on, and my brake lights won't work. I've already replaced the fuse, and that hasn't fixed the problem. Other than going into a mechanic and getting the solanoid replaced, what else could be the problem? Could one brake light going out cause the whole issue? Should I try replacing the brake light bulbs?
A: That one is tied into the brake lights. That is so you will know when you have a brake light failure (some cars have the interior, or dash lights in the brake light circuit).
If you have brake lights out, that could be the trouble.
